Every definition, answer option and term has a speaker button, and the notes sheet is read straight through with each word lit up as it is said. The voice runs on your own machine — nothing is sent anywhere to be spoken.
A misspelling that sounds right still earns full credit toward mastery, and the word joins a separate list of words to practise writing. The score reflects the vocabulary; the spelling is tracked beside it.
Notes, Choose the Word, Practice Test, Fill in the Blank, Matching, Multiple Choice and Flashcards — all built from the same unit, so a term can be met a different way each time.
Choose the Word, Matching and Multiple Choice are all answered by picking rather than typing, so spelling never gets in the way of showing that the word is known.
Photograph the worksheet — up to eight pages — and it comes back as terms, definitions, hints, syllable breakdowns and read-aloud notes, checked against the rules before it can be added.
Font, size, line and letter spacing, page colour, and whether the other lines dim while one is being read. Each of these is a preference, not a decision made for her.

A desktop app for Windows 10 and 11. Once the voice has downloaded, everything but syncing works with no connection at all.
Sign in to Google Drive or OneDrive and progress follows you between machines. Only progress syncs, into a folder the app cannot see past.
Nothing in the app stands in the way of either, but neither is built or tested yet, so neither is promised.
